Frost-King Dorpers

We are located in beautiful SW Washington state just South of Mt. St. Helens in Amboy, WA.  (20-25 miles North of Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR.)  We have been raising sheep since 1996 and Dorpers since 2003.   Our goal is to raise quality breeding stock.   The Frost-King Dorper flock has been officially typed by South African inspectors.  These are "stud-quality" Dorpers.    (Please refer to the Breed Standard for more information on "typing" at the ADSBS website here.)

2009 Dorpers lambs - AI bred lambs (21) were sired by semen from Ram H Breeders Twister 680P, Riverwood Farms RF 4696 (RR genetics), Kaya Dorpers of Australia Kaya 05-393 and Kaya 05-1386.  Rams Frost-King 0717 and Frost-King 0762 were used as backup and sired the remainder of the 2009 Dorper lambs (43).  All sires are Fullblood and either type 4 or 5.

As of 6/10/2009, we have a good selection of Dorpers available for sale.  This includes:

  • yearling ewes (born March 2008)  Purebred and Fullblood

  • 1 yearling ram

  • a good selection of 2009 ram and ewe lambs

  • older ewes may also be available
