Frost-King Dorpers

We are located in beautiful SW Washington state just South of Mt. St. Helens in Amboy, WA.  (20-25 miles North of Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR.)  We have been raising sheep since 1996 and Dorpers since 2003.   Our goal is to raise quality breeding stock.   The Frost-King Dorper flock has been officially typed by South African inspectors.  These are "stud-quality" Dorpers.    (Please refer to the Breed Standard for more information on "typing" at the ADSBS website here.)

2008 Dorpers lambs - Three fullblood rams were used to sire our 2008 lambs.  Semen from RamH Twister 680P from RamH Breeders in Canada and 03-393 from Kaya Dorpers in Australia was imported for an AI breeding.  The "backup" ram was a fullblood purchased from Antonio Juarez of Broadmead Farm (Antonio's breeding).

As of 4/10/2008, we have a good selection of Dorpers available for sale.  This includes:

  • yearling ewes & rams (born March 2007)  sired by RamH Breeders 590N (AI) and RamH Breeders 521K

  • December 2007 lambs sired by Riverwood Farm 3973, 3 different Frost-King rams

  • March 2008 lambs sired by RamH Breeders 680P (AI),  Kaya Dorpers 03-0393

For more information, please contact Pamela Frost .

I will be updating this site shortly with pictures of our Dorpers. (4/10/2008)
